Luxury Wedding DJ in Providence, RI

Elevated DJ Experiences for Refined Events

I’m DJ Valentina, an open-format wedding DJ working throughout Providence and the rest of Rhode Island. My job isn’t to play a playlist at you — it’s to read the room in front of me and build a night that belongs to you. Across 800+ weddings and events I’ve learned that the gap between a good reception and one people talk about for years usually comes down to timing, taste, and paying attention.

A Providence wedding that sounds like the two of you

When a guest list brings together different cultures, generations and musical tastes, I plan for that. Before your wedding we talk through what you love, what you’d rather never hear again, and the songs that carry real meaning for your families. From there I build an open-format set. I’m not locked into a single genre, and I mix live, so I can change direction as I read the room.

Providence and nearby venues where I’ve performed

I have personally performed at Providence Public Library, Skyline at Waterplace, Omni Providence Hotel, Providence G, Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, and Edgewood Manor. If your venue isn’t on that list, that isn’t an obstacle. I’ll work from the venue’s confirmed production requirements and coordinate with your planning team so the entertainment plan fits the celebration you’re actually building.

Reading the room, not just the playlist

Reading a room is a skill, and it’s the one I’d most want you to hire me for. I watch who’s dancing and who isn’t, which table is about to get up, when the energy is cresting and when it needs a breath — then I make the call in the moment. That’s also why I mix live instead of pressing play on something built weeks in advance. A wedding is a live event, and it deserves to be treated like one.

Multicultural, multilingual, and comfortable moving between the two

I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I DJ the way I talk — moving between cultures without it feeling like a switch has been flipped. In practice that means strategically blending familiar American records with global sounds, so everyone in the room hears something of themselves during the night and nobody feels like they’re sitting out someone else’s segment. If your families come from different musical worlds, that isn’t a complication for me. It’s the part I enjoy most.

Live musicians and atmosphere options

Live saxophone, violin and percussion can be incorporated alongside my set if you want that texture — during cocktail hour, a ceremony processional, or a peak moment on the dance floor. Lighting and other production enhancements are available as options as well. None of these are automatic inclusions. We’ll decide together what your celebration actually calls for, and build the quote around that.

What it costs

Weddings start at $5,500. What moves the final number is the shape of your day: hours of coverage, how many spaces require sound, whether you’re adding live musicians, and any lighting or other enhancements you select. I’ll walk you through all of it before you’re asked to commit to anything. Tell me your date and venue and I’ll put a real quote together — get in touch here.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Providence wedding with you cost?

Weddings start at $5,500. The final figure depends on hours of coverage, how many spaces require sound, whether you add live musicians, and any lighting or other enhancements you select.

Which Providence venues have you performed in?

I have personally performed at Providence Public Library, Skyline at Waterplace, Omni Providence Hotel, Providence G, Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, and Edgewood Manor. The last two are in nearby Cranston rather than Providence itself.

Do you play music in languages other than English?

Yes. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I regularly build sets that move between languages and regions while keeping the musical flow natural and connected.

Can you add live musicians to the reception?

Yes — live saxophone, violin and percussion can be incorporated. We’ll figure out together where they’ll have the most impact.

Do you handle announcements and MC duties?

Yes. I MC as well as DJ, and I coordinate with your planner so the timeline flows and the announcements land the way you want them to.

Do we have to pick a genre?

No. Open format gives me the freedom to move naturally between genres while responding to the people in front of me.

How do we get started?

Send me your date, your venue, and a sense of what you want the night to feel like, and we’ll take it from there.

Let’s talk about your Providence celebration

If this sounds like the wedding you’ve been picturing, I’d genuinely like to hear about it — the people who’ll be in the room, the music that matters to you, and what you want everyone to remember. Reach out and let’s start the conversation.
